Kianna Smith Named College Sports Madness ACC Player of the Week

Smith averaged 14.5 points, while shooting 7-15 from deep, in wins over Boston College and Florida State.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's basketball redshirt junior guard Kianna Smith has been named College Sports Madness Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week following her performances against Boston College and Florida State.

Smith averaged 14.5 points per game, while shooting 52 percent from the floor and 7-15 from beyond the arc in the victories over the Eagles and Seminoles. She added 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game, while committing just one turnover in 59 minutes of action.

In the win over Boston College, she finished with 13 points, while knocking down three 3-point attempts. She then came off the bench in the Cardinals' win over Florida State, scoring a team-high 16 points on 6-11 shooting, 4-8 from deep, while adding six assists, five rebounds and two steals.

On the season, she ranks second on the team with 13.3 points per game. She is shooting 23-56 from 3-point range for a 41 percent clip, which ranks eighth in the ACC.

The Cardinals host Syracuse on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET and then travel to play at Wake Forest on Sunday.
