Louisville and Stanford will tip off at 9 p.m. ET (8 p.m. CT) on ESPN and 790-AM WKRD.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – University of Louisville women's basketball faces 1-seed Stanford in the Elite Eight on Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET (8 p.m. CT). The game will broadcast on ESPN and 790-AM WKRD.

UofL advanced to its third straight Elite Eight and sixth overall (2009, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2019, 2021) with the 60-42 win over Oregon. UofL is 3-2 all-time in the Elite Eight. With the win on Sunday, Louisville is 6-4 all-time in the Sweet 16.

They are seeking their fourth Final Four appearance (2009, 2013, 2018). With three Final Fours since 2009, Louisville ranks fourth in the country behind UConn (11), Stanford (6) and Notre Dame (6).

The Cardinals are 3-6 all-time against 1-seeds in the NCAA Tournament. They are 3-5 against 1-seeds under Walz.

Dana Evans tied her career-high for the fourth time this season with 29 points against Oregon. Her 29 points rank fourth all-time by a UofL player in the NCAA Tournament. Her 126 career points in the NCAA Tournament rank ninth all-time in UofL history.

UofL is allowing just 46.0 points per game and 29.5 percent shooting through three NCAA Tournament games, which leads the tournament. They held Marist to 43 points in the first round, which was the fewest points they had allowed all season until they allowed 42 to Oregon in the Sweet 16.

Louisville has allowed 138 points through three games, which is the fewest through three games in the tournament. In 2009, UofL allowed just 133 points on its way to the Elite Eight and in 2019 they allowed just 128 points on the way to the Elite Eight.

The 42 points allowed against Oregon are the third fewest allowed by UofL in the NCAA tournament. They allowed an all-time low 34 points against Robert Morris in the first round in 2019 (UL 69, RMU 34).

Oregon managed just eight first quarter points, six second quarter points and 14 points at half - all of which are season lows against UofL. Louisville kept the Ducks in single digits in the first - 8, second - 6 and fourth quarter - 9.

Elizabeth Balogun has six blocks during the tournament, which ties the most by a UofL player in a single NCAA Tournament with Sara Hammond (2013) and Chauntise Wright (2008).

Top-Seeded Stanford extended its current winning streak to 17 games, leading by as much as 38 in the fourth quarter on the way to an 89-62 win over Missouri State in the Sweet 16. With the latest win, the Cardinals are now 28-2 and improved to 9-1 in neutral site games. The program's last loss dates back over two months to Jan.22, 2021, where Stanford fell 70-66 at then No.6 UCLA. At the helm is 2021 Pac 12 Coach of the Year Tara VanDerveer, the winningest coach in women's basketball history with 1,122 career wins over 42 seasons. The Cardinals are averaging 78.9 points per game, while holding opponents to a 53.1 mark. Stanford limits opponents to a 32.6 field goal percentage, trailing only Baylor. Stanford ranks top-five in the country in rebounds, blocked shots and field-goal percentage defense. Four Cardinal boast double digits scoring averages, led by 14.5 points from Kiana Williams. Williams' 307 career three-point field goals are a program record, while she also ranks in top-ten with 1,807 career points. Haley Jones leads the team with 7.4 rebounds per game, while Cameron Brink ranks in the top 10 and top 20 in the country with a .581 percentage from the field and 2.6 blocks per game, respectively. 
 
NCAA Tournament History - Stanford is 92-31 (.746) all-time at the NCAA Tournament. VanDerveer leads all coaches in NCAA Tournament appearances with 35. This season, Stanford earned its 33rd consecutive, trailing only Tennessee's 39 times, and 34th overall NCAA Tournament bid. The Cardinals are a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament for the 11th time and first since 2013. 
 
Series History - The two programs have met one time previously, where Louisville defeated Stanford 86-59 in the Sweet 16 of the 2018 NCAA Tournament on Mar. 23, 2018. 
 
Last Meeting (March 23, 2018) - Asia Durr had 24 points, Myisha Hines-Allen added 17 and Louisville rolled past No. 4 seed Stanford 86-59 in the women's NCAA Tournament Lexington Region semifinal. Arica Carter had 13 points and Jazmine Jones 10 for the Cardinals, who trailed for just 53 seconds. Louisville shot 52 percent and built a lead that reached 27 points with 1:24 remaining.
 
Walz vs. Pac-12 - Under head coach Jeff Walz, Louisville is 13-2 overall against the Pac-12, 9-0 in neutral site games and 5-0 in NCAA Tournament games. They beat Stanford (W, 86-59) and Oregon State (W, 76-43) to get to the Final Four in 2018 and in 2019 they beat Oregon State (W, 61-44) in the Sweet 16. They also beat Cal in the Final Four in 2013 (W, 64-57).
