Cardinals Prepare for Mason Rudolph Championship

The team is coming off a third place finish at the Minnesota Invitational

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - After taking the week off following a third-place finish at the Minnesota Invitational, the University of Louisville women's golf team returns to action September 20-22 for the Mason Rudolph Championship.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The team capped off its first tournament of the season by shooting the lowest round by any team, carding a 3-under-par 285. The Cardinals climbed seven spots on the final day to finish tied for third place with a two-day score of 582. Four Cardinals finished their final round under par, catapulting the Cards into a tie for third place with Virginia Tech and San Jose State. UofL finished six shots better than ACC rival Miami and 12 better than Notre Dame.

COMPETING TEAMS
Louisville will compete against 14 other teams. The Cardinals and host Commodores will be joined by: Auburn, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Clemson, Florida Atlantic, Houston, Mercer, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, Northwestern, and UCF.
 
THE COURSE
Since opening in 1992, Vanderbilt Legends Club has made its mark in the world of golf by receiving national recognition and accolades.
 
The par 72 North Course, stretching 7,190 yards from the championship tees, was designed by Hall of Fame golfer Tom Kite and world-renowned golf course architect, Bob Cupp. The greens are well undulated with the promise of multiple hole locations and the bunkers are large and boldly shaped. The course path provides an inspired variety of holes playing through lush fields and around lakes and streams.
