LOUISVILLE, Ky. – While the University of Louisville women's basketball team finished the 2020-21 season with a 26-4 record, an Atlantic Coast Conference regular season championship and a trip to the NCAA Elite Eight, grade point averages from the 2021 spring semester reflect that the Cardinals have excelled in the classroom, as well.

The Cardinals achieved a collective 3.069 grade-point average for the 2021 spring semester and a 3.133 for the 2020-21 academic year. This marks the 14th straight semester that women's basketball has earned better than a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

In addition, six student-athletes earned a 3.0 or better GPA, while six earned Red & Black Scholar Athlete status for a 3.25 or better cumulative GPA.

Merissah Russell, Ahlana Smith and Kianna Smith were named to the Dean's List, earning above a 3.5 GPA.
