Gelnovatch golden goalie...
Junior goalkeeper Jake Gelnovatch was named the ACC Men's Soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 9

Gelnovatch shared the weekly honor with Virginia's Colin Shutler. He is the first Cardinal to earn ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors since Stefan Cleveland on Oct. 11, 2016.

For the week, Gelnovatch recorded two shutouts in a pair of 3-0 wins against then No. 9 Kentucky and on the road at FAU. He accounted for three saves in each game and also faced 10 shots against both the Wildcats and Owls. It was the first time Gelnovatch recorded back-to-back shutouts since Sept. 9 and 14 of last year against Duke and Boston College.

Making the Rounds...
Of the current 24 Division I soccer conferences, Louisville has taken on at least one school in all but one of those leagues. The only remaining conferences the Cardinals have yet to play is the Northeast Conference.
