Van Lith Named to Naismith Trophy Women’s Watch List

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Tipoff Club released today that University of Louisville women's basketball sophomore guard Hailey Van Lith has been named to the Naismith Trophy Women's Watch List.
Van Lith continues to rack up preseason awards as earlier she was named preseason All-ACC, to the Nancy Lieberman Award watch list and ranked No. 18 on ESPN's Top 25 Players list.
She started every game for Louisville last season en route to being named to the ACC All-Freshman Team. She was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team, All-ACC Academic Team and twice was named ACC Freshman of the Week.
Van Lith ranked third on the team with 11.2 points and 5.2 rebounds, while chipping in 2.1 assists per game. She shot 49-128 (.383) from 3-point range and 44-53 (.830) from the free throw line.
Louisville opens the regular season against No.22 Arizona in The Invitational at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Friday, Nov. 12. Tip-off is set for 4:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
