LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville freshman guard Hailey Van Lith has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Week after averaging 16.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in her first two games at Louisville.

She is the first Louisville women's basketball student-athlete to earn ACC Freshman of the Week honors since Asia Durr did so on Feb. 1, 2016.

In addition to averaging 16.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, Van Lith shot 52 percent from the floor and 6-of-12 from beyond the arc.

In her first collegiate game, a 74-53 win at Southeast Missouri, she had 13 points and tied for the team-lead with eight rebounds. Then in her home debut, she thrilled the distanced KFC Yum! Center crowd with a double-double, putting up 20 points and 11 rebounds, while shooting 5-9 from beyond the arc. She added two steals and two blocks in the 101-58 win over the Colonels.
