Louisville to Face DePaul in ESPN’s Jimmy V Classic on Friday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – ESPN announced today that No. 5 University of Louisville women's basketball will play No. 20 DePaul this Friday in the Women's Jimmy V Classic at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
The Cardinals and the Blue Demons will tip off at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN.
DePaul replaces UConn, which was originally scheduled for that date.
Louisville is 15-17 all-time against the Blue Demons. The former conference rivals last faced each other in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on March 20, 2016, with the Cardinals falling, 73-72.
The Women's Jimmy V Classic will now also feature No. 8 NC State at No. 1 South Carolina on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
Named for legendary college basketball coach Jim Valvano, the Jimmy V Classic annually raises money and awareness for the V Foundation for Cancer Research. The women's classic debuted in 2002.
